Cryptographic Architectural Security Lead
Plexus have partnered with an innovative, well-funded, privacy focused protocol at the forefront of cutting-edge cryptography.
Role Overview: We’re seeking a skilled individual to support our research and engineering teams in designing and building secure systems. You’ll work on distributed systems, cryptographic primitives, distributed cryptographic protocols, zero-knowledge proofs and integration into operating systems, primarily using Rust.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct whitebox assessments of component security and advise on application security.
- Audit protocol specifications and implementations.
- Collaborate across teams and provide expertise in building and testing secure systems.
- Design, evaluate, and implement cryptographic protocols, focusing on zkSNARKs/zkSTARKs, threshold encryption, and elliptic curves.
- Produce technical specifications and implement cryptographic operations, primarily in Rust.
Qualifications:
- Industry experience in building and testing secure systems.
- Deep background in distributed systems, cryptography, and blockchain technologies.
- Experience in auditing and breaking distributed internet protocols.
- Mathematical and cryptographic expertise, preferably with a PhD or equivalent academic experience.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
