Head of Engineering

Head of Engineering – $250k – $400k total compensation – NY based

Plexus has partnered with an immersive AAA gaming studio that has a diverse portfolio of traditional, social and web3/metaverse gaming titles. Their gaming projects are shaped by the input of the gaming community, adding a unique and engaging dimension to their offerings.  

They are looking for a Head of Engineering to join the team to manage and oversee the portfolio of gaming projects that they have released and also in the pipeline. They have a preference to candidates that can come into their collaborative and fun NY office and will help with relocation to NY for the right profile!

Responsibilties:

• Managing a team of 15/20 engineers across 6 gaming projects
• Oversee and manage the builds of upcoming and current gaming titles
• Adaptable and start-up mindset with priorities shifting from project to project at times. Will expected to wear multiple hats.
• Be able to get hands dirty and dig into code when needed.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of Web3 / Blockchain / Crypto experience (Solidity/Rust experience is a big bonus)
• 7+ years of Engineering experience
• Experience managing a team of atleast 10+ engineers in a senior engineering role
• Some experience working in both startups and larger corporations.
• Experience in gaming (unreal/unity) would be a nice-to-have but not essential
